The Five-Year Work Program is the product resulting from an ongoing process that prioritizes and funds upcoming transportation system improvements programmed over the next five years in accordance with Section 339.135, Florida Statutes. The development of the Five-Year Work Program involves extensive coordination with local governments, including Metropolitan Planning Organizations, city and county officials and input from citizens to select road, transit, and enhancement projects that maintain and improve safety, reduce congestion, and increase mobility. FDOT has been granted authority by the Florida Legislature to commit / expend funds on projects in the first year of the Five-Year Work Program. The last four years of the work program are included for planning purposes. The Five-Year Work Program provides clear direction on what projects to program, where to build projects, when to build projects, and how to fund projects.
The current Adopted Five-Year Work Program covers Fiscal Years 2020 through 2024 (projects programmed July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2024) and was adopted on July 1, 2019. Click here to download the Adopted Five-Year Work Program.
